About Yala National Park
Yala National Park, nestled by the Indian Ocean, is a paradise for nature lovers. Here, you’ll encounter the “Ceylon Big Five”: elephants, leopards, bears, water buffalos, and wild boars. Nearby, ancient wonders like Magul Vihara and Sithulpahuwa await exploration. Yala is home to many leopards, making it one of the best spots to see them. Make sure not to miss out on a safari with Wild Trails Yala for a truly memorable camping experience surrounded by nature’s beauty.
The Yala National Park, as described by tripreporter.co.uk, depicts Sri Lanka as a “mini” Africa, with the park serving as a sanctuary for experiencing freely roaming wildlife and animals in their natural habitat.

We had an incredible time here! The accommodation is super spacious and modern. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond for you. The food was good and last but not least they organised two incredible safari days for us. Would highly recommend.

Jungle glamping is a perfect start to a safari experience. Wild Trails Yala by Suri is a remote but very pleasant place on the edge of Yala National Park. The tents are spacious and offer all the necessary comfort and privacy. The meal is delicious. Keep in mind that you cannot get here by normal car. There is a meeting point where guests are picked up in 4x4 vehicles. Even if we were not lucky enough to see leopards, it was a very nice experience. We recommend this place.

Wow. An experience never to be forgotten. We were collected by jeep for transfer to camp. Made super welcome by Damien and his team. Amazing lunch. Then a fantastic safari. We were treated to a candlelight dinner of Snapper fish which was excellent.
The tent was very well appointed with everything we needed.
It was an amazing staff made very special by the team there

Had a lovely stay at Wild Trails, the glamping rooms felt like you were in the wild but secure and safe. Staff were attentive and felt well looked after, offering to escort to rooms. To get there you go in a jeep down a trail so very secluded, we heard a water buffalo go past the room and the noises of all the animals are amazing! Only thing would slightly improve was the shower as lovely and clean and no insects but could be slightly warmer. Dinner was really nice! Would recommend for people wanting a wilderness experience in Yala!

The staff has been absolutely superb, took great care of us during our stay accommodating all our requests. We forgot something on the property and they took care of sending it back all the way to London! Really incredible client centricity! A great place immerse in the nature

We stayed at wild trails Yala and confirmed an all-in package bush walk, full day game drive and half-day at affordable rate compared to others we inquired.
All was organised very well, we felt very welcome and the safari experience was great, good car, good driver and guide arranged for us. No hassle, we just had to wake up early and be ready with the camera

Amazing property, the Tent is a very cozy room and the staff was amazing. Uditha received super well and helped us with everything we needed. We stayed 3 nights and 2 days, and had a very early safari in both days. Uditha provided a breakfast for us to bring along and eat in our safari, and gave many tips about the region. We had pré-booked our safaris and lunch already, but if you need they can arrange for safaris and/or lunch as well. On the morning of our checkout we also did a nice bush walk around the property to say our goodbyes to Yala. The rooms have air conditioning, fan, hairdryer and good wifi. Definitely will recommend to friends that come to visit the Yala National Park!

We had a great time at Wild trails.
The camp is located in a very remote area so one wakes up and falls asleep to the sounds of nature.
The staff is extra attentive, very kind and helpful. Would go an extra mile to accommodate you.
Safari was an amazing experience, we saw loads of animals!

Loved everything. Friendly staff that helped us in every way. They came pick us up when our driver wouldn’t approach the jungle area. Accommodation was fantastic with everything you might need in a modern style. Would recommend 100%

I stayed here with my mum, and wanted a glamping experience in the jungle - this place did not fail! The tents are really big, luxurious, with a fan and AC, electricity and running water. It looks like a building, but is a tent! It’s super clean! Tents are located in their own section, so you have the feel of peace and quiet! You are in the jungle…so expect to see and hear wildlife. I managed to see and hear a mama and baby sloth bear roaming around by our tent (although it was 2am! I didn’t want to startle them!) ...

The crew is amazing!!! Always thinking ahead what would you need ... The food was great - we had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners - all was tasty 🙂 The walk in the bush was very nice The rooms are comfortable and located in the middle of the wild bushes and trees - this is very unique - each room/tent is isolated from the rest
Anastasia
The room was cozy, with everything you need. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager, told us a lot of interesting facts about the local flora and fauna
